Our hens spend their days outdoors with fresh air, sunshine and plenty of space to roam. They scratch, forage, explore, socialize and dust-bathe — all the things chickens naturally love to do. And happy hens lay wonderful eggs. Our hens have continuous daytime access to large pastures where they forage for fresh grasses and shoots, seeds, wild edibles, bugs and all sorts of other tasty treasures. Their pastures are never treated with herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.

One of their favourite activities is dust-bathing together in the sunshine. It’s a perfectly natural chicken pastime that helps keep them clean and comfortable, and quite clearly makes them very happy. On hot days they have plenty of shade, and when the weather turns, they can retreat to shelter. We rotate their pastures regularly, keeping the ground healthy and giving the girls fresh places to explore and forage.

Their pasture diet is supplemented with high-quality Non-GMO feed that is free from corn, soy and canola, ensuring that all of their nutritional needs are met.

The result? Beautiful eggs with rich golden-orange yolks, firm whites and wonderfully fresh, full flavour.
