We share our farm with plenty of wildlife, coyotes, skunks, opossums, raccoons, hawks and eagles among them. Unfortunately, our beautiful free-ranging hens can look like a very tempting meal.

That’s where Cleo and Hazel, our beloved livestock guardian dogs, come in.

Watching over the farm and protecting the animals is their mission in life. They patrol the property, keep predators at a respectful distance, and even have their own special door into the hen pasture so they can stay close to their feathered charges.

Good girls. Very important job.
